Sonya Massey's Cousin Says Death of Convicted Deputy Sean Grayson 'Doesn't Feel Like Justice'

The death in prison of former Illinois sheriff's deputy Sean Grayson, who was convicted of murder after fatally shooting Sonya Massey inside her home, does not bring closure to her family. In an emotional statement posted to Facebook on Monday, Sonya Massey's cousin, Sontae Massey, shared that Grayson's death does not feel like justice. Sontae Massey emphasized that Grayson's passing cannot restore Sonya's life or return her to her two children, who were 15 and 17 years old when she was killed. Referring to Sonya's mother, Sontae Massey added that the former deputy's death also fails to give her aunt back her daughter or deliver the full accountability that the family remains waiting to receive.
